New Program Changes for NETV

Good evening and welcome to New Ellijay News on New Ellijay TV. If
you’re a regular around here, you may be wondering what’s been up with our recent programming. We’re
making some changes to some of our core programming blocks and we’d like to explain that to our
audience.
We will no longer be doing the New Ellijay News as a weekly program, and instead we will be bringing
you a monthly local event show called What’s Goin’ On, Ellijay? Hosted by Wheel Dover. This program
will take an in depth look at the community events happening in Ellijay over the next 6 weeks and will be
coming out the second or third week of every month. We plan to develop a visitor-oriented streaming
channel on the NETV Roku app that will run this broadcast hourly, along with weather and other local
spotlight content and advertisements.
We will continue to bring you news updates as information become available to us, and we hope that this
new format will allow us to spend more time developing a report, talking to people in our community, and
getting footage from the field, creating an all around better newscast, trading off some speed for quality
and accuracy. These reports will be kept in circulation on our main NETV stream until they are no longer
timely or accurate, and we plan on developing a news-focused stream by Summer of 2024 including all
the in-date news reports, weather, other current events content like the Hastening, and more.
We’re also going to be running daily weather updates featuring new music from Analog Revolution
artists.
All of the content we’ve mentioned so far will all still be available on the Roku app and online as
individual videos.
These changes to the way we work are going to give us more time to work on our other shows like the
Hastening, and to take more chances on one-off ideas, experimental films, and all kinds of other stuff
we’ve been hiding in our junk drawer and waiting to do something with.
So stay tuned to New Ellijay TV, there’s a lot of fun stuff coming your way.
